I first purchased the Staywell Dog Door a couple of years ago and I have to say I am very pleased with my purchase. We had issues since we were gone all day at work about being able to let the dog out to use the bathroom. It’s a small dog and we had to keep leaving for lunch to let the dog out and then come right back to work. This was very inconvenient, so we had to find another solution.

We both sat down to look on the internet at the solutions. We found the Staywell Dog Door and decided to give it a try. It has worked out great since then. We don’t have to come home from work anymore and life has become much easier.When the door arrived, we both were going to install it in the door. I decided to let my husband do it instead and just decided to help out. It was fairly easy to install, but it does take some knowledge of being handy, which is why we let the man do it. If you have to hire someone, this shouldn’t cost to much. It is very easy to install and doesn’t take long at all.Once we got it installed, our dog was a little confused. It took it a while to get used to the door. It didn’t quite understand it at first, but after a day, it came around. Once the dog understood that they could go outside anytime they wanted to, they would just run in and out all day, which is another issue. The door came with a latch that can lock it for when you don’t want it unlocked. This was a very important part of finding a door that could lock. Now I don’t have to worry about her going out at night, since I can lock it from the inside.
