Two Common Types of Dog Aggression

Dog’s aggressive nature is instinctive. This instinct serves him well in the wild. Dogs need to be aggressive to hunt and defend themselves from other animals. Dogs also have to be aggressive to defend their mate, den or food. Although selective breeding over hundreds of years has minimized aggressive traits in dogs, the fact still remains; a dog’s aggression is a fundamental trait for survival and evolution.
